I created Travel With New Eyes in 2019 as a space where I could share my experience traveling the world to empower everyone, particularly women traveling solo, to embark on their next journey with confidence and useful knowledge.

When trying to come up with a name for the blog, this Proust quote came to mind, and I found it fitting because I believe life is all about looking at things from different perspectives. That applies to travel, but goes so far beyond. It’s about challenging your own beliefs, refusing to get stuck in your convictions, and going beyond appearances. But if we want to keep things simple and travel-related, I think it’s also about revisiting a place and finding new sights, or seeing it through someone else’s eyes, like a local or a loved one. That’s why going back to the same place beats country-counting for me.

To keep this short, my mission with this blog is to inspire you to discover this big, beautiful world. Whether you’re seeking underrated destinations or hidden gems on the beaten path, I’m here to share my experience and hopefully help you become a more confident traveler!
